A number of Bank of America customers found themselves without access to their online accounts Friday, Oct. 1.
The mobile app and desktop website were down early Friday and were restored for most customers by 11:15 a.m.
“Today some of our clients have experienced issues accessing Online or Mobile Banking services,” said Colleen Haggerty, senior vice president of Media Relations for BofA. “Please rest assured all client information remains secure. We are fully addressing and resolving the situation, and many impacted clients now have full access.”
Some 12,000 apparent customers of BofA took to downdetector.com to report they’d hit an error message that read “We’re sorry, we weren’t able to complete your request. Please try again.”
